Shirley Q Liquor, whose actual name is Chuck Knipp, is a white gay man who has made their entire drag career around wearing Black face and performing racist caricatures of Black women. They’ve received support from Ru Paul, a known white supremacy kool-aid drinker and transmisogynist, and have also performed at Southern Decadence among a number of other gay venues. You can find out pretty much all you need to know about them by visiting this site.

This is Shirley Q Liquor’s idea of paying homage to Black women. A number of people of color in Portland are already sharing their disapproval on the facebook event page. Join them in letting the Portland Eagle know that this is not okay.
